This week there has been some good press about the profession of translators and interpreters that I would like to share.

A dear colleague Judy Jenner from Twin Translations was featured together with Jiri Stejskal, CEO for Cetra Inc. in an article on “How to pick the right translator or interpreter for your company’s needs”. A bad translation can have devastating effects for your company, whereas a good translation can open up new markets. This article gives you an explanation why, plus what to look for when you need a translator or interpreter.

The other interesting coverage is a Yotube video from the BDÜ Conference in Berlin last month. This is a face off between a professional translator and Google Translate. The video is unfortunately in German only, but well worth watching if you know some German. It is only three minutes long but clearly shows the differences in results. Watch the video here:
