The company offers software solutions to event planners and marketers for online event registration, venue selection, event management and marketing for both virtual, hybrid, and onsite events.
The English to Swedish Translator Project
My job is to localize the user interface for the event planning software for the Swedish market so that it sounds native and is culturally adapted. I also make sure that all buttons and commands work smoothly in Swedish and that Swedish users get a smooth experience.
Format
Exported software strings that can be translated and imported back into the different event planning software solutions.
Challenges
Large volumes and continuous weekly turnaround of strings. Adapting the English strings to Swedish while maintaining consistency throughout the software, character limits, and cultural adaptations.
